We made this ice cream cake for the 7th birthday of a dear friend’s daughter. The birthday girl wanted three penguins on the mango flavored ice cream cake. We made the penguins and the snowflakes with fondant, and gave the whole cake a fun wintry vibe. We had no clue how the fondant toppers would hold up on an ice cream cake since moisture is fondant’s worst enemy. We put the toppers on the cake just a couple of hours before the cake was to be served, and thankfully everything stayed intact. Here are some pictures.
