When we got an order for a cake with a purple cow topper, we were a bit perplexed. Why a cow? Any why a PURPLE cow? Turns out, purple cow is the mascot of Williams College, and ranks among one of the most outlandish college mascots. The cake was for a high school graduate who had just joined Williams.
The cake was mango flavored, with mango mousse filling. We did the whole cake in Williams’ colors (purple and gold), and put a fondant purple cow (complete with udder and all) on top.
