Mother’s Day cake


Here’s to all the fabulous moms!

Usually most of the cakes we make are for occasions such as birthdays, baby showers etc. But this year we had the chance to make a Mother’s Day cake, and we dedicate this to all the super-moms out there! We, being moms ourselves, know how special the bond between a mother and her child is, and how hard a mother’s job can be. Mothers – we salute you!

Now back to the cake before we get too mushy with emotion. 🙂 This special Mother’s Day cake was a 6″ Pineapple Passion cake with mousse filling and buttercream frosting. The cake was decorated with tiny fondant daisies in white and yellow.

    Wonderful blog, and beautiful cakes ! I love the colors on this one. I also bake cakes, and had a question. The buttercream on this cake is super smooth, almost like fondant. How did you achieve that? Any help is appreciated.

      Thank you for the wonderful comments. All we can say is Practice makes Perfect. 🙂 We are far from perfect ourselves, but we like to think that we improve a little bit with every cake we do.
